What is a Wifi Password? 
A wifi passwords is used to prevent unauthorized access to the wireless network. There are different types of encryptions. For example.
- WEP
- WPA
- WPA2
- Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) is notorious for its weak security standard, it is loved by the hackers. The password that is used by it can easily be cracks in minutes. It is old IEEE 802.11 standard from 1999 which is outdated. So if you are the admin, never use WEP.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) After WEP being outdated WPA was a quick solution to the problem. It was stronger than WEP.
WPA2 Current standard is WPA2 which is very hard to crack, it uses 256 bit encryption; as the key length is longer it greatly improves security over WEP.
Wifi hacking software for android:
There are a ton of different apps for android that claim to hack wifi passwords. Most of them are just pranks. What they do is that they connect to the regular 2g/3g network and use that but show as if you are using a Wifi which is not true. This can be useful if you are trying to impress someone or just fool your friends. They can very easily fall for it because it actually seems as if you are using a Wifi connections.
Here is a list of some of the most popular apps on the play store. I haven’t checked all of the so there is a good chance that they are just pranks but feel free to try them out.

Backtrack simulator uses Fern Wifi cracker, it claims to crack WEP,WPA and WPA2 secured networks. It uses the backtrack command line present it in GUI. It also has some other functions like hijacking sessions, location geo location of a computer.

Wifi hacker 2014 is a prank app that uses very elegantly designed interface. What is does is when you open the app it scans for the Wifi networks in your range. It also shows the signal strength and the security encryption. Then it allow you to select the network that you want to hack and after some time it shows you the password of the network. You can use it to show your friends that you have cracked the password.

It also works like any other wifi prack but Wifi hack allow you to use your standard 2g/3g network to connect to the internet but it is convincing because it shows the wifi icon in the notification bar.

Actually it is not a hacker app but it is very useful. Osmino allow you to automatically search for open wifi networks and connect to them seamlessly. You can share the password too so that other users can access the network. You dont have to be connected to internet to access the hotspots database.
Another cool thing is that it used augmented reality to show you where is the nearest hotspot. Place your phone in front of you and you will see how far the nearest hotspot, its name and reviews of the users.
Wifi password recovery
Wifi password recovery is used to recover the password if you have lost it. It of course only works if your modem has the default login username and password.
